Sooooo… is anyone other than me bemused by the very specific call out on female presenting nipples?

Look.  I’ll be honest with ya.  A lot of the gay men I know loooove them some nipple play.  Like a lot.  I’m endlessly laughing that one is ok and one is not while over here thinking “huh, you could hang a barbell from his nips”.

In this day and age the conflation of female presenting bodies with porn?  Just by being naked?  Says way more about the problematic nature of this to me and points to deeper problems than simply “oh, wow, they banned adult images”.  Which, while I might get it in the neck for this but.. I don’t really care.  A service/space online has the right to do that and I adjust.  I understand not everyone feels that way (and fair) but… to me “ban adult images” is one thing, “ban adult images and then weirdly define what that means with a hugely backward and fucked up definition” another.

Fair, I’d rather there not be any limiter but that’s me and not necessarily the world I live in.  So. (shrug)

Yep.  You want to ban all bare breasts, that’s fine. I mean, it’s stupid, and
the same BS that lead to breast cancer sites/discussions getting kicked offline, back in the LJ days.  Because yeah, @staff, THAT’s helpful.

But specifying “female presenting” means you’re objectifying and censoring women specifically.  Also, a lot of non-sexual art.

If you want to get rid of porn sites, then get rid of porn sites. Do the work. Don’t be sexist about it.

Thaaaaank you.  I don’t really care about “porn is bad” because… ok, that’s your (generic) thing.  But “only WOMEN are BAD” is.. all levels of fuckery.

and the word-dressing of inclusivity of “female-presenting” just makes it worse, because they’re being very clear that it’s ONLY the fact of “female,” nothing else, that they’re concerned with.

Do the effing work, @staff.
