transboycowboys:

I’m probably going to get some hate for this, but I do believe that ace/aro people are opressed.

1. The LGBT+ community refuses to accept them as LGBT+

2. There are some people who say that “they haven’t found the right woman/man/enbyfriend yet”

3. Ace/Aro people are made fun of by some people, and people refuse to accept them.

1. lgbt people not wanting cis non-sga people to consider themselves oppressed under homophobia or transphobia isn’t oppression

2. this has happened to probably anyone who has just been single and not looking for a monogamous opposite-gender relationship at the moment. not oppression. (also. enbyfriend. just say partner/significant other.)

3. although bullying and harrassment are bad, they aren’t oppression.

there are not and never have been any laws targeting ace/aro people, there are no slurs targeting them, there are no hate groups targeting them, there has never been any medical discrimination against them. even if people treat some ace/aro people shittily, there is no system of oppression against asexual and aromantic people where people with sexual and romantic feelings, whether gay, bi/pan or straight, hold systematic power over them.
